This harbor city located in northeast Sicily, is separated from the mainland by the Strait of Messina. Famous for its Norman Messina Cathedral that contains 15th-century windows, a Gothic portal and an astronomical clock on the bell tower, this Italian city has a rich Greek heritage that dates back to its founding in the 8th century B.C.

Spend some time on a walking tour of Porto Cervo, an idyllic seaside resort located in northern Sardinia. The resort was created by Prince Karim Aga Khan and serves as the main center of Costa Smeralda.

Nuraghe La Prisgiona Archeological Site
