After arriving at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) prior to 2:30 PM, you may pass through Immigration and Passport Control. This is dependent on your departure city and where your flight connections were. Follow airport signage to Baggage Claim. Retrieve your luggage and exit the Baggage Claim area by passing through Customs and then into the main terminal. While we take care of transportation to all itinerary destinations, here are some helpful transportation tips for time on your own.

      ITALY
Accommodations have been arranged so that anything you may need while in Stresa is situated within walking distance via pedestrian streets, some of which are cobblestone. If additional transportation needs arise, your Adventure Guide can provide assistance.

      SWITZERLAND
When traveling in Switzerland, it's best to avoid Swiss roads and opt for the wonderfully punctual and ultra-efficient rail system. You can buy tickets at any of the numerous kiosks, most of which accept cash or credit and give information in many different languages. Helpful ticket sales people will give you a copy of your itinerary, which includes information like transfer stations, time of transfer and which car to enter. To get to more remote places not on the rail-line, take a "postbus," which is integrated into the rail system.

While in Switzerland, the altitude ranges from 5,276 feet (1,608 meters) above sea level to just over 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) above sea level.

Most of the trip occurs at 5,000 feet. However, the altitude rises as high as 7,500 feet for a short coach ride on the Simplon Pass.

The trip includes a canopy zip lining experience (size restrictions apply). While nearly all of the trip's featured activities are gentle if enjoyed separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most out of your vacation.

While we welcome children ages 5 and up on our Italy & Switzerland trip, we recommend that children be at least 6 years old at the time of travel. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, potential for extreme temperatures in the summer months, and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking and zip lining). Because each child is different, call a Vacationista at (800) 543-0865† to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.

Typically, breakfast is served each morning in family style and offers a variety of dishes. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat, and pasta or rice entrées; vegetables and salad; and desserts and fruit. Some included meals on this trip are served family style while others offer a limited-choice menu. Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices may not always be available. Child-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to allow you and your family time to enjoy meals by yourselves, there are a few meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in locations where you have many dining options available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any time during your vacation, your Adventure Guides will be happy to assist you.

Please note: In accordance with our response to the COVID-19 virus, Adventures by Disney has updated our cancellation policy.

We will make every reasonable effort to operate the vacations as advertised; however, we reserve the right to curtail or modify the itinerary, or to substitute activities, hotels, meals or transportation as we deem necessary. We further reserve the right to reduce the number of Adventure Guides to one, and to modify other services to accommodate a smaller group, if a minimum number of Guests is not reached. Similarly, we may marginally exceed the stated group maximum size if necessary to accommodate a family. Please also note that during certain holidays and peak periods, some activities may be disrupted or unavailable. None of these modifications or changes shall affect the land package price. We reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time prior to its commencement for any reason, such as if there are too few Guests, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the Guests would, in our opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances (acts of God) or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel your trip prior to its commencement because there are too few Guests: (i) we will attempt to re-book you on another departure of the same itinerary, subject to availability, and we will bear any reasonable airline re-booking charges; however, if we are unable to rebook you, we will issue a full refund of your land package price and Plan (unless you have filed a claim); and (ii) if you booked airfare through us, we will issue a full refund of your airfare; and (iii) if you did not book airfare through us, we will reimburse you for your reasonable out-of-pocket (subject to proof) airline cancellation charges or, in the case of bookings using frequent flier miles, a reasonable cancellation service fee, provided you have exercised best efforts to mitigate such charges/fees; and (iv) the aforesaid payments and/or rebooking by us shall constitute a full settlement.
