Arrive in Quito

¡Bienvenidos a Ecuador! Upon arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO), follow the signs to Customs. After you pass through Customs, head to Baggage Claim where a representative holding an orange Adventures by Disney sign will greet you and escort you to the transfer vehicle for the short drive to the Wyndham.

Check-In at the Hotel

Arrive at the Wyndham Quito Airport, conveniently located at Mariscal Sucre Airport, and get to know this comfortable hotel that embraces the spirit of the Ecuadorian capital while your Adventure Guides check you in. Adventurers will have the evening to explore Quito. Ask your Adventure Guide for sightseeing and dining recommendations.

¡Buenos Días! Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your leisure before your flight to Baltra Island.

Fly to Baltra

Transfer via coach to Mariscal Sucre Airport (UIO) for your internal flight to Seymour Airport (GPS) in Baltra. Upon your arrival in Baltra, you and your baggage will be transferred to the ship.

Panga Ride to Ship & Embarkation

Transfer to the ship via a panga boat, an outboard-powered boat that is common throughout this region. Once aboard the ship, you’ll check-in and then embark on your adventure of a lifetime.

Shipboard Safety & Ship Orientation

Familiarize yourself with the Galápagos Legend—your home for the next 6 days—at this orientation where you’ll learn about the amenities and features of the ship as well as receive some important safety information.

Lunch On the Ship

Follow your adventure-filled morning with a delicious lunch on the ship before continuing your day on the islands.

Mosquera Islet Snorkeling & Hike

Join a naturalist for an adventure-filled snorkel in the waters of Mosquera Islet, home to rays, barracudas and sharks. You’ll also take a delightful hike around the area where you may observe some of the local wildlife that includes shorebirds, herons, lava gulls and boobies. Plus, you may encounter a group of sea lions that call the soft, white sandy beach home.

Welcome Reception & Dinner

Gather together with your fellow Adventurers and Adventure Guides for a welcome reception followed by a delicious meal on the ship.

Get together with family and friends for some fun activities that may include: a Disney Movie, Stargazing on the Equator, the Galápagos Legend Olympics, a dance party and more.

Santiago Island: Egas Port Walk & Swim with Naturalist

Trek across the black volcanic sand that sets this landing apart from most others. You may observe a fur seal colony, American oystercatchers, sea lions, waders, herons, lava lizards and Galápagos hawks on this amazing excursion. Cool down after your walk with a refreshing swim in the azure waters of the sea.

Rábida Island Walk & Snorkel with Naturalist

Discover the beauty of Rábida Island’s distinctive red-sand beach as your naturalist points out some local wildlife that may include sea lions, mockingbirds, finches, endemic Galápagos doves and vermillion flycatchers. You’ll also walk through a forest of palo santo and cacti to a bay overlook that offers breathtaking panoramic views. Dive into the bay for some snorkeling where you may swim alongside of black-striped salemas, sea lions and turtles.

Dinner On the Ship and Junior Adventurer Pizza Party

Join your fellow Adventurers for dinner in the ship’s dining room. Junior Adventurers will have their own pizza party.

Urbina Bay Excursion with Naturalist

Hike your way to the dramatic view of a completely exposed block of coral caused by a massive geological uplift. You’ll also hike to the base of Alcedo Volcano where you may spot land iguanas and Galápagos giant tortoises during the wet season. Follow your hike with a refreshing snorkel in the lovely turquoise waters off the shore.

Tagus Cove Excursion with Naturalist

This location is one of the few sites visited by Charles Darwin during his time in the Galápagos Islands. You’ll make your way to Darwin Lake where a stunning volcanic landscape awaits you. Dive into stunning Tagus Cove where you may snorkel amongst turtles, fish, penguins and potentially flightless cormorants. You’ll even have the opportunity to paddle out on the lake in a kayak.

Fernandina Island: Espinosa Point with Naturalist

Join a naturalist for an exploration of the youngest island of Galápagos, as well as one of the most pristine in the world. It is known as the “marine iguana capital of the world” and is also home to Galápagos penguins. While snorkeling, you may view marine iguanas as they feed underwater, penguins, turtles and the endemic, flightless cormorants.

Isabela Island: Vicente Roca Point Visit with Naturalist

Take to the sea in a deep-water snorkeling adventure in the rich marine haven of the Bolivar Channel. You’ll also take a tour by panga along the coast where you may spot a great diversity of sea and coastal birds that includes Nazca and blue-footed boobies, noddies, brown pelicans and flightless cormorants.

Charles Darwin Research Station & Fausto Llerena Breeding Center Tour with Naturalist

Visit the one-time home of the famous Lonesome George, the last tortoise of the Pinta race. The center, which is set in the Galápagos National Park Service, contains various interpretive buildings dedicated to providing knowledge and assistance through scientific research to ensure the conservation of the environment and biodiversity in the Galápagos Archipelago.

Centro de Educación Visit & Bazaar

Tour this center which provides an inclusive environment for special needs students from the islands, allowing them to pursue their creative interests. There will be an exclusive bazaar where you will be able to view and purchase handmade crafts to support this magnificent school.

Coffee Farm Tour & Tasting

Join a local expert for a tour of an authentic coffee plantation, where you’ll learn about the life cycle of the coffee bean that’s grown in volcanic rock and is responsible for the famous flavor of the region’s amazing coffee. And if you’re not already awake, follow your tour with a tasting that is guaranteed to kick-start your day!

Rancho El Manzanillo Tour & Lunch

Head into the gorgeous Santa Cruz Highlands for a visit to the pride of the Galápagos Islands! See famed giant tortoises in their natural habitat, moving at their usual unhurried pace. Take a privately guided tour of the Galapagos Tortoise Reserve and learn about these elegant behemoths as you walk among them. You may also see many of the islands’ bird species, including Darwin’s finches, cattle egrets and short-eared owls.

You’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch at Rancho El Manzanillo where you’ll savor some of the wonderful local flavors.

Bartolomé Island: Morning Hike & Snorkel with Naturalist

Experience the beauty of Bartolomé Island as you join a naturalist for a hike up Summit Trail where you’ll take in the breathtaking views—including volcanic cones, lava bombs, spatter and cinder cones that resemble the moon—while learning about the island. After your hike, enjoy snorkeling off the beach at Pinnacle Rock where you may be joined by penguins and sea lions.

Santiago Island: Sullivan Bay Walk & Snorkel with Naturalist

Discover the pahoehoe lava beds from a recent flow on the island. Your naturalist will discuss the flora making a comeback to the island as you hike over the lava. Take a snorkel to end your perfect afternoon.

Pitt Point Excursion with Naturalist

Enjoy a morning of exploration as a naturalist leads you on a panga tour of the magnificent San Cristóbal coastline and then on a hike where you may see all 3 booby species. Then, cool off with some water fun where you’ll paddle in a glass-bottom kayak and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the island.

Cerro Brujo

Have some fun in the sun as you take to the beautiful Cerro Brujo beach with a chance to hike, snorkel and kayak with a naturalist while you take in the seaside setting that surrounds you.

Farewell Dinner

Dine al fresco with your fellow Adventurers at a final feast on board the Galápagos Legend. Toast the adventure of a lifetime you've shared with your family and newfound friends!

Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado

Accompanied by naturalists, visit this amazing nature reserve and breeding center that was built to improve the island’s tortoise population. During your visit, you’ll get a fascinating view of tortoises at various life stages.

Fly to Quito

Enjoy a box lunch as you transfer to the San Cristóbal Airport (SCY) for your flight to Quito where you’ll arrive at Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) to begin your journey home.
Guests can stay at the airport for later flights, or transfer to Wyndham Quito Airport Hotel for a post night stay.
