Arrive in Quito

¡Bienvenidos a Ecuador! Upon arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO), follow the signs to Customs. After you pass through Customs, head to Baggage Claim where a representative holding an orange Adventures by Disney sign will meet you and provide assistance you with your luggage. Once you have your luggage, the representative will escort you to your awaiting transportation to the hotel that is located at Mariscal Sucre Airport.

Check-In at the Hotel

Arrive at the Wyndham Quito Airport, conveniently located at Mariscal Sucre Airport, and get to know this comfortable hotel that embraces the spirit of the Ecuadorian capital while your Adventure Guides check you in. Adventurers will have the evening to explore Quito. Ask your Adventure Guide for sightseeing and dining recommendations.

Fly to Baltra

Transfer via coach to Mariscal Sucre Airport (UIO) for your internal flight to Seymour Airport (GPS) in Baltra. Upon your arrival in Baltra, you and your baggage will be transferred to the ship.

Panga Ride to Ship & Embarkation

Transfer to the ship via a panga boat, an outboard-powered boat that is common throughout this region. Once aboard the ship, you’ll check-in and then embark on your adventure of a lifetime.

Shipboard Safety & Ship Orientation

Familiarize yourself with the Galápagos Legend—your home for the next 6 days—at this orientation where you’ll learn about the amenities and features of the ship as well as receive some important safety information.

Lunch On the Ship

Enjoy a delicious meal on the ship before heading out for an afternoon adventure.

Black Turtle Cove

Board a panga with a naturalist for an exploration through the mangrove forests in an internal lagoon that’s only accessible only by sea. Keep an eye out for white-tipped sharks, herons and egrets in this declared turtle sanctuary.

Welcome Reception & Dinner

Gather together with your fellow Adventurers and Adventure Guides for a welcome reception followed by a delicious meal on the ship.

Evening Onboard Activities

Get together with family and friends for some fun activities that may include: a Disney movie, stargazing on the equator, the Galápagos Legend Olympics, a dance party and more.

El Barranco with Naturalist

Ride a panga to the far side of the caldera where red-billed tropic birds and Galápagos fur seals can be seen on the shoreline. Then, take El Barranco’s steep rocky path—also known as Prince Phillip’s Steps—up to a high cliff face where you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the island. The area is home to a variety of species, including Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, mockingbirds and finches, who you may spot on your way to an expansive lava field. Once at the lava field, keep a lookout for wedge-rumped storm petrels and short-eared owls.

Naturalist-Led Hike at Darwin Bay

Take in the magnificent surrounding scenery as you enjoy a wilderness hike to Darwin Bay. Known as a “bird of paradise,” be sure to watch for swallow-tailed gulls, mockingbirds Galápagos doves and many others. If you’re lucky, you may even spot the rarest gull in the world, the endemic lava gull.

South Plaza Island Wildlife Walk with Naturalist

Explore the scenic surroundings of South Plaza Island as a naturalist guides you on a walk among local wildlife that includes sea lions, the largest land iguanas, blue-footed boobies and a cactus forest.

Santa Fe Island Snorkel & Kayak Exploration

Snorkel or kayak in the turquoise waters of Santa Fe Island’s protected bay, where you may encounter turtle, sea lions, reef sharks and spotted eagle rays. Following your snorkel, head to the beach and share the sand with an abundance of sea lions. Begin a leisurely walk and take in the surrounding endemic flora, including the giant Opuntia cacti. As you continue your walk, be sure to lookout for the native Santa Fe iguanas and Galápagos hawks.

Charles Darwin Research Station & Fausto Llerena Breeding Center Tour with Naturalist

Visit the one-time home of the famous Lonesome George, the last tortoise of the Pinta race. The center, which is set in the Galápagos National Park Service, contains various buildings dedicated to providing knowledge and assistance through scientific research to ensure the conservation of the environment and biodiversity in the Galápagos Archipelago.

Centro de Educación Visit and Bazaar

Tour this center which provides an inclusive environment for special needs students from the Islands to pursue their creative interests. There will be an exclusive bazaar where you will be able to view and purchase crafts to support their school.

Coffee Farm Tour & Tasting

Join a local expert for a tour of an authentic coffee plantation, where you’ll learn about the life cycle of the coffee bean that’s grown in volcanic rock and is responsible for the famous flavor of the region’s amazing coffee. And if you’re not already awake, follow your tour with a tasting that is guaranteed to kick-start your day!

Rancho El Manzanillo Tour with Naturalist

Visit the Santa Cruz Highlands where you’ll discover the pride of the Galápagos Islands! See famed giant tortoises in their natural habitat, moving at their usual unhurried pace. Take a privately guided tour of the Galápagos Tortoise Reserve and learn about these elegant behemoths as you walk among them. You may also see many of the islands' bird species, including Darwin's finches, cattle egrets and short-eared owls.

Santiago Island: Egas Port Walk & Swim with Naturalist

Trek across the black volcanic sand that sets this landing apart from most others. You’ll observe a fur seal colony, American oystercatchers, sea lions, waders, herons, lava lizards and Galápagos hawks on this amazing excursion. Cool down after your walk with a refreshing swim in the azure waters of the sea.

Rabida Island Walk & Snorkel with Naturalist

Discover the beauty of Rabida Island’s distinctive red-sand beach as your naturalist points out some local wildlife that includes sea lions, mockingbirds, finches, endemic Galápagos doves and vermillion flycatchers. You’ll also walk through a forest of palo santo and cacti to a bay overlook that offers breathtaking panoramic views. Dive into the bay for some snorkeling where you’ll swim alongside of black-striped salemas, sea lions and turtles.

Urbina Bay Excursion with Naturalist

Hike your way to the dramatic view of a completely exposed block of coral caused by a massive geological uplift. You’ll also hike to the base of Alcedo Volcano where you may spot land iguanas and Galápagos giant tortoises during the wet season. Follow your hike with a refreshing snorkel in the lovely turquoise waters off the shore.

Tagus Cove Excursion with Naturalist

This location is one of the few sites visited by Charles Darwin during his time in the Galápagos Islands. You’ll make your way to Darwin Lake where a stunning volcanic landscape awaits you. Dive in and snorkel amongst turtles, fish, penguins and potentially flightless cormorants.

Fernandina Island: Espinosa Point with Naturalist

Join a naturalist for an exploration of the youngest island of Galápagos, as well as one of the most pristine in the world. It is known as the “marine iguana capital of the world” and is also home to Galápagos penguins. During your visit, you’ll get to snorkel with marine iguanas as they feed underwater, penguins, turtles and the endemic, flightless cormorants.

Isabela Island: Vicente Roca Point Visit with Naturalist

Take to the sea in a deep-water snorkeling adventure in the rich marine haven of the Bolivar Channel. You’ll also take a panga ride along the coast where you may spot a great diversity of sea and coastal birds that includes Nazca and blue-footed boobies, noddies, brown pelicans and flightless cormorants.

Farewell Dinner

Fly to Quito for Journey Home OR Optional Post Night Stay

Fly from Seymour Airport (GPS) on Baltra Island to Quito. Enjoy a boxed lunch prior to your flight. Arrive at Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO). Guests can stay at the airport for later flights or transfer to Wyndham Quito Airport Hotel for a post night stay.
