Galapagos -the Ferruggia Family I have been traveling with Adventures By Disney since 2008 and have had the opportunity to see the world with my
wife and children. One of my most magically moments was sitting on a beach in the Galapagos with my family admiring the vast beauty of these islands. The quietness from the real world. Bring us back to nature. No cell phone or technology just us , nature, the culture , and our group. Where in the world can you swim with sea lions. Watch blue footed bobbies mate . Snorkel with reef Sharks. Hike to the top of any amazing hill where all you see if the beauty of nature. Disney captured the essence of the Gallapagos Island. Made then intriguing for the adults as well as the children. My magical moment

Galapagos! We were snorkeling in an area where sea turtles were common, and--on this particular adventure--there were more turtles than anyone had
ever seen before. I counted 50 before I stopped counting ; ) The amazing moment was when the sea turtle that was BIGGER Than me came up to say hi. I was swimming backwards as fast as I could...because I'd been taught to respect the space of wildlife (and, secretly, inside I was hoping the huge turtle would respect mine :P) She came so close to me, we were almost touching noses. It's a memory I cherish. And the best part... another member of my group caught a picture of her swimming by me after she as finished saying hello :D

Galapagos - my memory - Fertuggia family I am 18 years old and have seen the world with Adventures By Disney. I would love to give back to my
parents an amazing adventure as they have given to my sister and I. My most memorable moment was swimming with two adorable baby sea lions in the Galapagos. We took a zodiac to Darwin Cove where the beach was deserted except for our group and sea lions. Yes I tanned on a beach with 20 sea lions. If that wasn't special enough I noticed two baby sea lions swimming in a protected area of the cove. I walked over and noticed a large shark waiting for one of these sea lions to swim outside of the protected area. So I gently walked into the water and started playing with the baby sea lions. I blew bubbles in the water, swam like I was a sea lion, sometimes just stood there so they could check me out. They were so intrigued with me but I was do intrigued with them too. We connected as if they knew I was protecting them. Here I am on a private island, swimming with the two most adorable sea lions. It was me and them. Our worlds connected. This was just as special to them as it was to me. They felt safe, and entertained . I never had an encounter like this in my life and probably never will again. By the time we had to leave I noticed that big shark had swam away. My sea lions friends were safe. I had to say good byeto my adorable friends but this memory will never fade. Thank you ABD for giving me this magically moment

On our Ecuador/Galapagos Adventures by Disney trip with our grandson, a juvenile sea lion waddled up the beach, ignored the adults in the group,
and joined the children. They had a hard time controlling the urge to pet him as it seemed that he had come to make friends. He hung out with the kids, inspected their colorful shoelaces, and eventually tried to untie William's shoe.

Families playing soccer with the locals in Ecuador was what made our adventure so memorable. The children
Families playing soccer with the locals in Ecuador was what made our adventure so memorable. The children of the village and the children on our tour gathered together in a field for a friendly game of soccer. The kids had so much fun running up and down the fields laughing, and enjoying every minute of it. Smiles and laughter were the common denominator despite the language differences. Attempts to communicate in Spanish were somewhat successful but what we learned was that the smiles and laughter bridged the communication gap. Of course the fact that my daughter had slipped in the mud and had mud from head to toe certainly helped to fuel the laughter. It is little things like slipping in the mud that create funny memories and builds a stronger family (of course it wasn't very fun to clean up later)!! We still laugh and talk about all the mud we experienced on our trip. Our tour group jokingly said, You don't get the Ecuadorian experience without a life vest, rain boots, and the mud! These are memories that my family will never forget and are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience another country. We have thoroughly enjoyed all of our Adventures by Disney trips! Disney ensures a flawless, perfect trip each and every time. They are always on schedule with no detail ever over looked, and no trip would be complete without small surprises along the way and the special lanyard pins that help us remember each and every place.

We have been on two wonderful ABD vacations so far and plan to take many more.  On our most recent trip
We have been on two wonderful ABD vacations so far and plan to take many more.  On our most recent trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos, my 11-year-old daughter was very nervous about jumping in the ocean to snorkel.  For the 5 days we were going to spend on our cruise through the Galapagos Islands, snorkeling was on the schedule for almost everyday and as we would eventually realize, it was also where we would have some of our most magical wildlife encounters.  Our Adventure Guide, Natalia, stayed behind on the panga raft with my daughter, and managed to convince her to join the others in the water.  Natalia swam right alongside my daughter and made her feel confident in the water.  During our afternoon snorkeling trips, our family was joined by some playful sea lions, sea turtles, penguins marine iguanas, reef and hammerhead sharks (which in the Galapagos are safe to swim around), schools of fish and many other sea creatures.  I'm so glad she was able to experience it all with us.
