Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge Guided Tour

Board a boat from Los Chiles and head down stream on the Rio Frio (“Cold River”). Along the ride, your guide will point out the wonders of the rain forest and the richness of the flora and fauna of the area. Keep an eye out for rain forest wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, many species of birds, bats, crocodiles, lizards and many more.

Zip Line Adventure

Enjoy the adrenaline thrill of a lifetime! Strap on a harness that is clicked onto suspended wires and zip line above the treetops of the rainforest. For Adventurers who either don’t meet Zip Line Adventure requirements or don’t want to participate, a nature walk through the surrounding jungle with an Adventure Guide will be available as an alternative activity (this is activity is not wheelchair accessible). Important Details

Please note: For white water rafting, all Guests must fit comfortably and securely within a life jacket in order to participate. The fit of the life jacket is dependent on distribution of body weight. Some Guests over 250 lbs. (113 Kg) may not fit comfortable in the life jacket and will not be able to participate.

The minimum Guest age for this activity is 4 years old. Size restrictions also apply.

Please note the following Zip Line activity restrictions:

  • To use the zip line, you must be at least 4 years old.
  • Size restrictions also apply.
  • Adventurers between the ages of 4 and 7 years will ride in tandem with one of our Adventure Guides or zip line guides.
  • For adult Guests, the maximum weight of 300 lbs. (136 Kg) with a maximum waist size of 46 inches (117 cm).
  • This activity is not recommended for Guests with a history of seizures, dizziness, fainting, heart conditions, osteoporosis, recent surgeries, asthma and active ailments.

Also, please note that the Nature Walk alternate activity is not wheelchair accessible.
