      Passport

If you are a U.S. citizen, you will need a valid passport to enter Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Egypt, and France; and return to the United States. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the end date of your trip and has at least 12 blank visa pages. Please ensure that the passport you submit for visas is the passport that will be utilized on your trip. If the expiration date is within 6 months of the end of your trip, please renew your passport before applying for visas. Allow yourself sufficient time to have your application processed if you are applying for a new passport or renewing an expired passport. Visit the U.S. Department of State for more details.

It is critical that you send us a color photocopy of your passport’s photo and information page in order to confirm travel arrangements and visas on arrival. For security reasons, please mail a color photocopy of the photo and information page of your passport to us as soon as possible. If your passport photocopy is not completely clear, you will be asked to send another copy. If it is necessary for you to obtain a new passport prior to departure, please do so as soon as possible and send us a color photocopy of the photo and information page of your new passport. Your Private Jet Adventure Manager will inform you when it’s time to submit your passport.

      Visas

You will need to submit your passport in order to process the necessary visas for your trip. The length of time this process takes varies, and your passport may not be returned to you until just before your departure date. If you are traveling internationally prior to the departure of this trip, you may want to consider applying for a second passport while your original passport is being processed.

U.S. citizens will need tourist visas to enter China, India, and Egypt. Visas are not required for U.S. citizens to enter Japan, Hong Kong, and France. Some of these visas will be obtained on arrival with the group and some you will obtain on your own with the assistance of a visa service company. You will be sent a visa packet which will provide you with step-by-step information on how to navigate the visa application process. Charges for the visas and any associated fees are at your own expense. For visas obtained through the visa service company, you will be charged by them directly. For visas on arrival, you will be billed by Adventures by Disney on your final invoice.

If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check with the Consulate or Embassy for Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, Egypt, and France for information on documentation requirements. When visiting foreign countries, it is usually required that you obtain visas in your country of residence. It is your responsibility to obtain your necessary visas. If you have any questions or need any assistance in providing the necessary documentation (supporting letters, itineraries, etc.), please contact your Private Jet Adventure Manager.

      Photo Requirements

In order to obtain the necessary entry documents for your trip, copies of your photograph will be required. In your visa packet, you will receive instructions regarding where to submit these photos and whether they need to be submitted electronically or in the form of a physical copy.

All photo submissions must have been taken within the last 3 months and be taken against a pure white background. The photo must show a full, frontal view of your head with your face in the center of the frame and the tops of your shoulders visible. You must also display a neutral (non-smiling) expression with your eyes open, your mouth closed, and your ears visible. No background light or shadows are permitted. You may not wear eyeglasses. Only headwear worn for religious purposes is permitted. Please do not wear a white shirt.

Physical copies of photos must be color, passport-style photographs which are 2 inches by 2 inches in size. Your photographs should not be affixed to your application and the photograph may not display evidence of adhesive tape or staples.

Please note that Adventures by Disney will need 4 passport-style photos mailed to our office for use in the creation of your on-trip ID badge and for your visas on arrival. Additional copies will also be required by the visa service company for visas obtained through them. We recommend printing at least 10-12 passport-style photos and encourage you to bring 1-2 copies with you on your adventure. If your photos do not meet the requirements stated above, you will be asked to send new photos.

      Luggage Information

Each Guest is allowed one (1) personal checked piece of luggage per person. In accordance with commercial airline requirements, luggage can be up to 62 inches (157.5 cm) with combined dimensions of height + width + length. One month prior to departure, each Guest will also be provided with a small, wheeled bag and a backpack to keep and use throughout the trip. Each Guest is required to bring the wheeled bag on this trip, as it will be an important component in our system for handling luggage throughout the adventure.

The luggage weight allowance per Guest on our private jet is 90 lbs. (40.5 kg), with 50 lbs. (22.5 kg) reserved for your personal piece of luggage and 40 lbs. (18 kg) for your small, wheeled bag. For commercial flights to Los Angeles and from Orlando, there is typically a 50 lb. (22.5 kg) weight limit on your checked baggage, with many airlines charging fees for these checked bags. Please contact the airline you are flying with to verify their baggage allowances and fees.

During the adventure, your luggage will be moved and transported many times. Please consider this when deciding which type of luggage to bring. We advise you not to bring any luggage pieces you wish to protect from wear and tear. During the trip, your personal checked piece of luggage and your wheeled bag will be stored in the cargo hold of the jet. Your backpack, as well as any other personal items such as purses or camera bags, will be available for you to use in the main cabin during the flights.

When packing your luggage, please keep this information in mind.

PLEASE NOTE: Adventures by Disney is not responsible for excess baggage fees.

Travel documentation, medical necessities and personal electronic devices (laptops, phones and tablets) should be transported inside of carry-on luggage.

With frequent security changes, we recommend that you check with your air carrier as well as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for current restrictions.

      Clothing

We recommend that you bring comfortable, layering pieces for your daily excursions and touring. Moisture-wicking materials and cotton garments are recommended. Neutral tones are also recommended as they are less likely to get dirty or attract mosquitos.

Although dress is casual, we suggest that you bring a few dressier pieces for our welcome reception and more formal dinners. Men should wear a jacket or wear a collared or polo shirt if not wearing a jacket. No cropped pants are allowed, and shoes should have a heel (no slippers, etc.).

In order to avoid overpacking, we recommend that you bring a week’s worth of versatile, weather-appropriate clothing and use the included laundry services at hotels.

The following is a suggested list of what to bring on your trip:

      Clothing
      • T-shirts (short and long-sleeved)
      • Collared shirts, slacks, dress or skirt for smart, casual dinners (some restaurants enforce a dress code)
      • Casual dress/skirt (optional)
      • Jeans or long pants
      • Shorts
      • Lightweight rain jacket
      • Swimsuit (hotel pool)
      • Sturdy-soled walking shoes or tennis shoes

Please note: It is highly recommended to dress in layers due to the unpredictable weather. Modest layers to cover shoulders while visiting some heritage sites are required.

Adventures by Disney has arranged for all of your transportation needs as specified in your trip itinerary.

Your group will travel via a Boeing 757-200 private jet, which is operated by Icelandair (except for 1 private commercial flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong). With its long-range capabilities and ability to land in smaller airports, the specially outfitted jet provides unique flexibility and a seamless experience as we travel direct from one destination to the next, which allows us to maximize our time spent in each location.

Instead of the standard 233 seats, the jet’s interior has been customized to accommodate 75 Guests in two-by-two, VIP-style leather seating, along with seats for experts and staff, who use an audiovisual system for informative briefings and lectures. Each seat is equipped with individual USB and standard U.S. power outlets.

Accompanying you on this expedition is a dedicated flight crew, which is comprised of a lead captain, a second captain, a first officer, eight flight attendants, a chef, an assistant chef and a flight engineer.

The jet is equipped with 4 lavatories located throughout the cabin. There is ample space for the storage of your personal items in the main cabin—both in the overhead bins and under the seats. Your flight attendants will be able to assist you in finding storage space for your personal items on board the aircraft, if necessary.

Upon arrival in each destination, you and your fellow adventurers will divide into smaller groups for touring. Motor vehicles (sedans, deluxe minibuses, and deluxe motor coaches) will be used while on the ground at each destination.

In the event you wish to visit a site that requires additional transportation while spending time on your own, taxis are available. Your Adventure Guides will be able to assist you in arranging a ride.

From the welcome dinner on the first night of the trip, to breakfast on your final morning, all meals are included.

Some meals on the trip are served family style while others offer a limited-choice menu or buffet. There will be occasions where you will be provided means to choose your own Disney Resort restaurant to dine at for lunches. Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices may not always be available. Child-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. Guests are offered a varied menu, with themed meals and classic entrées. Because we are visiting many different parts of the world, your meals will often reflect local cuisines and cultures. However, we understand that while traveling, the taste of home can be welcome as well. Many Western favorites will also be offered.

Group breakfasts will be served at hotels, and lunches will either be served at local restaurants or at hotels. In the evening, dinners will vary. Over the course of the trip, you will dine at hotel or Disney Park restaurants, enjoy a choice of local restaurants, and also gather for meals while enjoying traditional entertainment. Please keep in mind that skipping a meal with the group is an option, but will be at your own expense. Additionally, when room service is not included in the itinerary, it will also be at your own expense.
