If you are a U.S. citizen, you will need a valid passport to enter Egypt and return to the United States.

U.S. passport holders traveling to Egypt for 90 days or less for tourism or business purposes will need a visa (more on visas below). Your passport must be valid six months beyond your intended stay and must contain at least one blank (unstamped) visa page each time entry into the country is sought. Please note that visa pages are in addition to the endorsement/amendment pages at the back of the passport. Please be advised that if you do not comply with this regulation, you run the risk of being forced to return to your previous destination at your expense. Also be sure to allow yourself sufficient time to have your application processed if you are applying for a new passport or renewing an expired passport. Refer to the U.S. Department of State for further details.

Certified birth certificates are required for all children in a party who are under age 18. In addition, guests 18 years of age or younger may be required to show additional documentation when traveling with a single parent. If you are not a U. S. citizen, please check with the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Egypt or your home country’s Consulate for information on all documentation requirements.

      Passport/Visa Services
Adventures by Disney has arranged for all Guests to secure visas upon arrival into Cairo International Airport. A VIP service company has been engaged to handle your entry into Egypt, assuring that your arrival will be as seamless and comfortable as possible. The service—which is free of charge to Adventures by Disney Guests—includes meeting you within moments after you exit your aircraft and step into the airport corridor. Once in the airport corridor, simply look for somebody holding an orange sign. Once connected with your VIP host you will be escorted to a lounge where you can relax with snacks and beverages. Your passport(s) will be taken away and a visa will be secured. Your checked luggage will also be gathered from the airline and cleared through Customs (you will be asked for your checked luggage receipts). Once your visa is secured and your luggage is consolidated, you will be escorted out of the airport by our local representative and taken to your private vehicle for the transfer to the Cairo hotel.

In the event you prefer to acquire a visa prior to your arrival in Cairo, you may complete an online e-visa application. This website is not directly affiliated with the Egyptian government and includes a fee for this service as well as expert help and assistance. There will also be the standard visa fee charged by the Egyptian government.

You can also apply for a passport and/or visa through CIBT, Inc., a third-party travel document company servicing the travel industry (not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company). Learn more or call CIBT at (800) 406-1523. Be sure to mention Adventures by Disney, account #55134, for special pricing options.

This is an active trip with a lot of walking and some degree of physical activity. There may be up to 3 hours of casual walking during a full day of activity in Cairo, Giza, Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor. Touring the ancient monuments and temples on foot can be challenging, especially in the months of May through September due to the summer heat. Within the ancient ruins, walking on broken rock surfaces, cobblestones and uneven pavement is common. Steps are also common within the historic sites as well as on board the Nile cruise ship and within some airports. Ramps and elevators are not typically available. You can always choose to opt in or out of an activity as you wish. While nearly all of the trip’s featured activities are only mildly strenuous if enjoyed separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most of your vacation.

We recommend that children be at least 8 years old at the time of travel on our Egypt trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, potential for extreme temperatures in the summer months, and the amount of physical activity involved. Because each child is different, please call a Vacationista at (800) 543-0865† to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.

Typically, breakfast is served each morning in family style and offers a variety of dishes. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat and pasta or rice entrées; vegetables and salad; and desserts and fruit. Some included meals on this trip are served family style while others offer a limited-choice menu. Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices may not always be available. Child-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to allow you and your family time to enjoy meals by yourselves, there are a few meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in locations where you have many dining options available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any time during your vacation, your Adventure Guides will be happy to assist you.

Please note: In accordance with our response to the COVID-19 virus, Adventures by Disney has updated our cancellation policy.

We will make every reasonable effort to operate the vacations as advertised; however, we reserve the right to curtail or modify the itinerary, or to substitute activities, hotels, meals or transportation as we deem necessary. We further reserve the right to reduce the number of Adventure Guides to one, and to modify other services to accommodate a smaller group, if a minimum number of Guests is not reached. Similarly, we may marginally exceed the stated group maximum size if necessary to accommodate a family. Please also note that during certain holidays and peak periods, some activities may be disrupted or unavailable. None of these modifications or changes shall affect the land package price. We reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time prior to its commencement for any reason, such as if there are too few Guests, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the Guests would, in our opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances (acts of God) or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
