Trolley Tour
Hop on board a private trolley for a tour of Betsy Ross' House, the National Constitution Center and the Liberty Bell.

Independence Hall
All patriots are hereby summoned to the Independence Hall of Philadelphia where a local expert will share in-depth knowledge about the historic sites in America's former capital.

Liberty Bell
Walk in the footsteps of the founding fathers, study the majesty of the Liberty Bell and immerse yourselves in the stirring ambiance of America's birthplace at Independence National Historic Park.

A Late Afternoon in the City of Brotherly Love
Explore this thriving American city that mixes rich history with the excitement of a modern metropolis. Run up the steps of the famous Philadelphia Museum of Art, dare to step into the home of Edgar Allan Poe, and sink your teeth into a scrumptious Philly cheese steak. From about 3:30 p.m. onward, the day is yours!

Kayak on the Potomac River
Feel the freedom as your kayak glides over this rippling river on a privately guided tour of this famous, mid-Atlantic waterway. Rich in history, "The Nation's River" flows between Washington D.C. and Virginia, forming the border between states. Paddle past iconic American monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and Georgetown University.

Iwo Jima Monument
Salute America's heroes—the men and women who fought and gave their lives defending freedom and liberty. During a private tour, a local guide introduces you to the 60 foot-tall United States Marine Corps War Memorial that depicts the planting of the American flag during the battle of Iwo Jima.

Arlington National Cemetery
Pay tribute to the brave members of America's military during a private visit to Arlington National Cemetery. This is a sacred resting place for over a quarter million members of the United States Armed Forces, including President John F. Kennedy. Witness the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

BBQ at Columbia Island Marina
What could be more American than a good old-fashioned barbeque? Round up your family for some down-home cooking on the banks of the Potomac River.

Afternoon and Evening in Washington, D.C. On Your Own
Explore the priceless treasures of the Washington area. Sneak into the International Spy Museum or visit the world-famous Smithsonian Museums, including the National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Spend time with your family as you choose!

Monticello
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before travelling to Monticello, the former home of Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, third president of the United States and founder of the University of Virginia. Situated on a mountaintop outside Charlottesville on a 5,000-acre plantation, this historic house was designed and built by Jefferson. Glimpse the life of this intellectual giant in the halls of his home. His gardens are still a botanic showpiece that includes an experimental laboratory for a variety of plants.

On Your Own in D.C.
Return to D.C. for another afternoon on your own enjoying the historic and cultural sites of our nation's capitol. Lose yourself in the history, legends and lore of America. Walk the National Mall from the Capitol Building to the White House, pay your respects to the Great Emancipator at the Lincoln Memorial and view the most important documents in American history at the National Archive—including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. If you didn't have time to explore the International Spy Museum yesterday, you can do so on your own today.

Travel to Gettysburg

Explore Gettysburg with a Costumed Guide
Discover the history of this extraordinary city with a guide in period costume as you learn about the famous battle fought there, President Lincoln's immortal speech and what life was like for its citizens, then and now.

Dinner On Your Own
After an exciting and inspiring day in Gettysburg, return to Washington D.C. by coach for an evening on your own. An international destination, the nation's capitol offers a wide variety of culinary fare.

Mount Vernon Excursion
Immerse yourself in the life and lore of George Washington, the nation's first president, at his 8,000-acre plantation on Mount Vernon. Lunch at Mount Vernon
Sit down with your fellow Adventurers for a midday meal at the charming Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, where you will enjoy colonial cuisine and ambiance.

An Afternoon in History
You'll have plenty of time to explore Mt. Vernon as you wish. Before returning to the hotel, you can take an optional visit at the Smithsonian.

Farewell Dinner and Special Surprise
Celebrate the spirit of America as your family assembles with fellow Adventurers for a grand farewell cookout. This festive dinner banquet will cap off a week to remember!
